Patrick Guyton featured in the MeTV presentation of "Hare's to Bugs!", A Bugs Bunny Celebration for Bugs Bunny's 84th birthday.
In the mid-1990s, Patrick’s longtime friend Martin helped him secure a position at the Chuck Jones Studio/Warner Bros., where he designed and painted backgrounds for Chuck Jones’ Limited Edition animation artwork.
His role soon expanded to include painting Jones’s LE animation cels. Patrick’s reputation for exceptional craftsmanship also led to collaborations with other legendary artists and studios, including Robert McKimson Jr., Hanna-Barbera, King Features, and Fleischer Studios, where he also created LE hand painted backgrounds and animation cels.
Soon thereafter, Patrick became an understudy to the legendary Maurice Noble, renowned for his groundbreaking work with Disney and Warner Bros. Working under Noble’s direct mentorship, Patrick assisted in recreating an iconic background from Chuck Jones and Maurice Noble’s landmark animated classic What’s Opera, Doc?
For the LE release “Be My Wuv,” Patrick co-designed and hand painted the background recreation and painted the animation cels. Signed by both Chuck Jones and Maurice Noble, the piece celebrated the enduring legacy of “What’s Opera, Doc?” following its historic induction into the National Film Registry and stands as a tribute to one of animation’s most iconic achievements.
